Congratulations to Bluecrest Capital Management winners of The 2007 Banks and Brokers Football Championship.
The Grand Final of the 2007 Banks and Brokers Football Championship took place last night at Play On Sports in Canary Wharf.
Bluecrest, captained by Darren Gribble, came out on top by narrowly beating Barclays Capital's Real Madras team 4-2 after an exciting penalty shootout.
Bluecrest went into last nights final as the only undefeated team in the competition having won all their previous 6 games. Barclays Capital had only lost to Bluecrest in the league so the final was always going to be an enthralling encounter.
Barclays took an early, and what seemed like a commanding 4 -2 lead.
However, with just minutes to go Bluecrest scored a fantastic long-range goal to level the scores at 4 - 4 and take the final into penalties.
Hoare's Hurricanes finished the 2007 Championship in 3rd position with GNI Touch in 4th.
